About us Frequently
asked questions
:How
do I send equipment in for repair?
You can use a shipping company or postal service that can deliver
the items directly into the reception here at SETEM. It is of course
important that the equipment is packaged adequately. For this, it
is recommended to use the ORIGINAL PACKAGING in its entirety. If
you do not have this packaging any more, it is possible that the
shop where you bought it can provide you with similar packaging
that will be suitable.
:What
documentation do I need to include in with the equipment?
For the paperwork, the best idea is to use the RMA form that we
have available for customers, and that you should send in by FAX
or email. Then, we can let you know what the repair number is that
you should then mark clearly on the packaging, followed by the letters
RMA. It is important to add your personal details and telephone
number so we can quickly resolve any issue that might occur. If
you do not use the RMA service, you must instead include the following
inside your package:
You must include the following information:
Personal details, name, sender’s address,
name and address of the person or company to be sent the invoice
if it is not the same as the sender’s details. Please include
the DNI in the case of an individual or the NIF or CIF in the
case of a company.
All the accessories included must be listed,
as well as all the serial numbers of all the equipment sent.
In the case of a possible manufacturers guarantee it is important
to let us know the date of purchase and to include a copy of the
invoice. In the case of a possible guarantee from a previous repair
you must include a copy of the invoice for these previous repairs.
The symptoms of the problem that is affecting
the equipment should be listed in as much detail as possible,
along with a list of the repairs that you would like carried out.
Remember that will only carry out the repairs that you request
– we will not automatically repair other problems detected
in the equipment. It is always possible to receive from us a detailed
estimate that clearly lists the repairs about to be carried out
and their costs.
:Guarantees?
Manufacturers guarantees are designed to cover problems that arise
through factory defects. In general these have a period of two
years after the date of purchase. It is always advisable to confirm
with the manufacturer the dates of their guarantee.
On the other hand, there are repair guarantees
that in our case are for 6 months. These cover any of our repairs
that somehow fail to fix the problem. This specifically excludes
those cases where a failure in the equipment is detected through
what seem like similar symptoms but is actually caused by a new
problem, or other such hidden failures.
