Madi .Theatre production / live concerts D.A.I.S.Madi APPLICATIONS The DAIS MADI 64 system in a theatre or live concert. This is an example of how the DAIS MADI system can be used in a theatre or live event context. RS/optical converter The RS/optical converter is connected to both ends of a multicore cable, converting the RS232, RS422 or MIDI into a multiplexed optical signal. This allows the transmission of up to a total of 8 channels of control via a multicore. Through a PC and with remote control software it is possible to control the DAIS units and the preamplifiers of the stage microphones equally from a control room as from the live mixing desk. Monitor desk The desks used for monitoring during concerts and live events are normally analog. This is of course not a problem for the MADI as with the Audio-service interface cards ADDA24 users can connect output signals directly to the DAIS cards. This configuration allows the transmission over optical cable of all the signals straight to the control room or the main mixer. Multicore optical cable D.A.I.S. MADI-64 Interface multicore optical cable is fibreglass optical cable that allows the transmission of signals over large distances without any problems. There is no loss of quality in the signal. The cable is manageable while robust and has been tested thoroughly for successful use under these kinds of tough and strict conditions and activities.
